Do I need photos to create characters?
No, photos are optional. You can also describe your family members in words — their personality, hair color, hobbies, and other details — and Wonderfold will use that description to create unique characters.
Can I use descriptions only, without photos?
Yes, absolutely. Just describe your loved ones and Wonderfold will bring them to life. Photos help make characters more visually accurate, but a good description works just as well.
Can pets appear in the stories?
Yes! Pets are wonderful story characters. Just describe or upload a photo of your dog, cat, rabbit, or any other animal, and they'll become a recurring hero in your stories.
Can grandparents and other relatives appear?
Absolutely. You can add as many people as you like — grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, neighbors. Anyone who matters to your family can become a character in your universe.
Who writes the stories?
Wonderfold's AI writes each story based on the characters and themes you've set up. You can review and adjust the story before it's finalized, so the result always feels personal and just right.
Can I contribute my own ideas to the stories?
Yes. You can suggest a theme, a plot idea, a location, or a mood — and Wonderfold will weave it into the story. The more details you share, the more personal the adventure becomes.
How many stories can I create?
Story creation is open while Sparks are being prepared. Paid plans fill your Magic Jar every month, and every story is saved in your family library.
How do hardcover books work?
Once you're happy with a story, you can order it as a premium hardcover book. It will be printed with full-color illustrations and shipped to your door. Hardcovers are ordered separately from your membership.
